In case you are thinking about doing any direct mail this summer, the U.S. Postal Service has a rate increase effective July 12, 2026, raising the First-Class Mail Forever stamp price by 4 cents, from 78 cents to 82 cents. It’s about a 4.8% increase.
Key July 12, 2026 Price Changes:
- Forever Stamps: Increase to 82 cents (from 78 cents).
- Metered Mail (1 oz.): Increase to 78 cents (from 74 cents).
- Neighborhood Saturation Mail: Increase to 23.4 cents (from 22.7 cents)*
- Customer/Demographic Mail: Increase to 37.4 cents (from 35.4 cents)*
